C V Joints

C V stands for constant velocity joints.  they are found  on the modern front wheel drive  cars and allow power to be transmitted to the front  wheels when turning. They are protected by a boot which can split  and should be check regulary.  when a CV jjoint  begins to fail a loud clicking noise will be heard when turning.
